The SWEDIC Study: Effects of Carvedilol on Diastolic Dysfunction
Major inclusion criteria:
- male or female patients aged > 18 years
- symptoms / signs associated with heart failure
- normal systolic ejection fraction (wall motion index < 1.2)
- evidence of diastolic dysfunction determined by Doppler Echocardiography (reduced E:A ratio, prolonged IVRT, normal E:A ratio and increased pv-S:D or reduced pvA)
All echocardiographic parameters were assessed by an echocardiographic core lab
