PATIENTS WITH CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING*

Coma

Any period of unconsciousness

Any abnormal score on Carbon Monoxide

Neuropsychological Screening Battery

Carboxyhemoglobin level > 40%

Pregnancy and carboxyhemoglobin level > 15%

Signs of cardiac ischemia or arrhythmia

History of ischemic heart disease and carboxyhemo-

globin level > 20%

Recurrent symptoms for up to 3 wk

Symptoms that do not resolve with normobaric oxygen

after 4-6 hr__________________________________________
