Giganet

• Giganet network was promoted by Intel.
• It uses its own network protocol, discarding IP, but this is transparent to the software.
• It is not WAN routable.
• It is able to do 1 Gbps unidirectional communications between the nodes at minimum latencies of 7 microseconds.
