The gastric neoplasm was mostly composed of cells with abundant cytoplasm containing mucin, with a signet ring appearance (H&E x 100). |
Malignant cells reached the serous surface of the stomach. Extracellular mucin was also present. (H&E x 200). |
Neoplastic cells showed an intense positivity with PAS stain. Lymphatic vessels invasion was noted. Transition between normal gland and tumoral cells could be easily observed. (PAS x 200). |
